I'm on the Kalenatek level and I got to the third check point where you are in an elevator that is dark. I can only die once and it loads the checkpoint, but id I die again, it says loading then when it is done, it says press start. I press it and nothing happens. It seems to be frozen. My xbox is softmoded with SID and I have an 80gb hard drive in there. Any idea why this happens? I hate starting the mission over so many times from begining.
I have also copied the splinter cell game tot he hard drive and tried to load the game and same thing. I dont wnat to start the level over each time, and go through it in one shot. It seems my old saves alos load, but when I have to press start, nothing happens.

Hmmm... you might try clearing the cache on your E drive and see if that stops the freezes.
I'm not aware of any issues for chip or softmod on Splintercell.
It's been around a long time.
Dirty disk perhaps or is the game loaded on the hdd?

The game is on the disc, I put it on the hard drive and its the same thing. Still freezes and I can only load one of my save games from a long time ago.
Also, another thing, I got to the Chinese Embasssy, and it did not save it in the levels section like it is suppose to. Neither did it save it on the checkpoint section.

either your runing out of space or try erasing in E/cache . check how much size you got left on E folder. _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

The thing is that it will freeze wether I have the game disc in, or even if I have copied it to the xbox. I tried ripping to the xbox and clearing cache, but nothing. The thing is that it since i have the original game, I want to play it off the disc not rip it to the xbox even though I already have tried that.
Maybe its just the game saves and profile since I havent played it in such a long time.
