Check the chip and how its seated as well as the power control PCB (Printed Circuit Board0
These might have come undone and might be hindering the process, however if it doesn't boot retail it could be a bigger problem, try taking out the chip and seeing the results. _________________ XBOX v1.6

(Wouldnt let me edit last post)
Anyone have any ideas? The only thing i could think of is that the bank selcetor thingy came lose and the chip is trying to boot to the 2MB bios bank, which i dont have. But idk, i think im gunna send it in.

Have you tried turning it on with the power and reset to get to the safety bios?
Also, do you have something between the chip and the DVD casing? If the PCB is actually touching the drive casing that can cause issues.
You should be able to boot without your DVD drive in as a test. Remove it and see if that works.
I also assume that since you opened to clean and not to install, that this has worked before, yes? _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

It sounds like you may have lost your D0 wire, but it's hard to be sure without more info.
Your box is a V1.1, right?
How did you clean it?
Is your chip solderless?
Did you install it? _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!

When the chip is on the pin header, i CANNOT boot to ANY bios, in fact the external switch does NOT light up at all. When i take it off the pin header, it boots to the MS bios perfectly. Is this an easy fix? Or should i send it in?
No, my xbox is a 1.6b, i did not install it, i was cleaning the whole mobo with a duster. It is NOT solderless. Ive got a 120 GB Western Digital HDD with the X3_3294 1.6 bios. I also CANNOT boot to 256k backup.

Are you sure that you are putting the chip back on the right way and on the right pins?
Also does your chip have any wires or is it just on a pinheader? _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!
