I have a Western Digital 120gig Hd that is less than 6 months old, I was told this HD will work but how do i go about switching my Xbox HD with The WD 120gig? Now what are the basic requirements for a upgradable HD? I have a friend that wants to mid and upgrade his HD on his Xbox. My Xbox HD is already modded does this matter?

Ok I managed toget the FTP to work using FlashFXP and copied all my files to my CP. I can connect the Hd drive i ahve to my Cp cause the connections a dirfferent so I installed my new 120G HD in my Xbox and when started it i t say it needs service:Error 13. I checked on trhe error code but im not sure how the description i read was relavent to my problem. I made a disc with my files also and put in my xbox but it didn't work. I also tried to FTP it so i could put the files on the new HD.

hey dude srry i guess i forgot about you and you just slipped away, anyways the xboxhdm1.9 image does NOT go on the xbox , it goes on the pc .... and if the hd is not an ide type of cable then it wont work on your xbox.........
now xboxhdm1.9/C folder your going to put a retail ms dash files... they are found on pirrups signiture, extract it and transfer it to xhdm1.9/C
you dont need E folder.. you need your eeprom.bin if you installled it sid 4.0 or above then your real eeprom.bin is found ind E/udata/21455 sotin/000000000000/backup/eeprom.bin _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

The HD was orignally going to be put in my new Cp for additional storage but the cp has the wrong connectors. I have searched but cant find it.

OK from scratch: What as been done is i have modded the factory xbox HDD and i am running UnleashX. I can ftp the xbox (do i need to unlock the factory Xbox HDD before coping any files?) Where i am stuck is i dont know how to go on from here to be able to use the new 120g drive. I have tried unsuccessfully to unlock the XBox HDD personally i thjink i am getting confused with it all. I did find xboxHDM1.9 but what do i do with that?

You dont need to unlock the harddrive to copy any files. If you unlock it then you wont be able to do anything. Ftp into your xbox copy the C and E drives to your computer and get the eeprom from E:\UDATA\21585554\000000000000\backup\eeprom.bin. Then we will talk about how to make the xbox hdm after you do that. You can get xboxhdm 1.9 from here http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/download-file-1138.html. _________________

yeah dang it hellblazer you beat me to it ..... hellblazer pretty much said everything....
DO NOT unlock your hd , if you do your xbox is trash ( unleas you get a chip) but in short your goin to get your eeprom.bin transfer it to xboxhdm1.9/EEPROM folder , your C is not real from that sid .>.>>> ( hes using sid 4.0 and above) ..... so get retail ms dash files from under pirrups signiture. you dont need noting on E folder on xboxhdm1.9
once you got the retail ms dash files extract the folder and transfer it to xboxhdm1.9/C folder. click make iso win take out the disc and then fellow this tut.

you cant... they use diffrent file system...
