I softmodded my friends box with sid4 and am upgrading the hard drive, Im using XboxHMD and was wondering if I should put the Fake C in the Linux C folder or the Real C folder, the hidden one, or both?

You would need the Real C, as that's the one that has the softmod stuff, the Fake C just has the basic MSDash stuff, and it wouldn't work for rebuilding a hard drive with xboxhdm. Also after rebuilding it, first thing to do when you get it back up and running is to delete E:\cache, this will save a lot of headaches with games not loading correctly. _________________

what i do to save trouble , i grab ms dash from pirrup and transfer it to C on xboxhdm then the sid 4 real eeprom is under E/udata/2155455 somtin/000000000 s /backup/eeprom.bin
thats the real one. the E/eeprom is fake.
you can transfer everything on E to E on xboxhdm1.9 but either ways your going to have to softmod it agian no matter what . _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

when I run the command "lockhd -a" it says password file not found? The eeprom is on the disk whats its deal?

sorry for the delay ... it didnt notify me . hmm werid you transferd your eeprom.bin to xboxhdm1.9/EEPROM folder? and typed exactly lockhd -a its case sensitive so it has to be exactly. _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

is the eeprom.bin 256k? where did you get this eeprom from? like i mean what path ? under E/udata? what softmod installer was it ? _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

SID 4 NKnuave edition and I got it from E:/UDATA/2155455.....\000000000\Backups\eeprom.bin
And yes its 256

hmm so you burn the iso right with its correct files on the corret folders , you rebooted and typed lockhd -a _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

try somewhere else , and new disc retail ms dash files re make your eeprom.bin and check out every little detail ... doesnt sound right...
you can try from simple things to new disc later on ... try taking the hd your making and the disc to another pc and see how it goes.. _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition
