hey everyone. i have two xbox's but ones one of the older models, i think its one of the first or second models. but anyway one of my "friends" got pissed at me and dropped it on the floor and it broke. i opened it up and found that the dvd drive was busted. i thought that was it and i just got a new tompson drive from ebay. i just installed it and apperently thats not all thats wrong is it the hdd? the light blinks red and green (yellow whatever) i havent plugged it into the tv yet but i just wanted some advice. if it is the hdd im just gonna get a bigger one like 100GB thanks \m/thor\m/

plug the xbox unit into the tv and see if you get a error code..
Error codes are shown in the top corners of the screen.
write down the error code and let us know.. It shoulud have lots of different languages all over the screen too.

ok i hooked it up and it like stalls... it makes a cracking noise...then nothing...cracking...nothing....then once it gets situated lol it doesnt show video or sound. so i guess i cant give you an error code lol \m/thor\m/

also i think it might be an important thing to add... i unhooked the hdd and dvd drive when it got broken. idk if unplugging it locks it up and all. but ive read alittle about that on the net. i think i messed it up lol. could i boot with and Evox cd? and if so what will it do. i really want to put UnleashX on this badboy lol but i cant till the hdd and the whole thing is fixed. and if i called M$ what would i say? "my ""friend"" dropped it and now its fragging"?? plz help guys thanks \m/thor\m/
