after I type ´xboxhd´ in xbohdm program, in the menu I choose to build a new xbox hd scratch, when appears the part of activating the fatx particion table it says [error] why is that?

No offense intended, the guys here are really good at solving these problems but, you have to help them understand where you're at.
Does your box play original games from the DVD player?
Is you HD the original retail HD or has it been upgraded?
Do you own any of the exploitable games used for soft modding?
Do you have access to or own an Action Replay and memory card?
