hey everyone i have a question about the xbox controller ports. i have alittle experience with the controller ports because i made my own action replay cord with an old controller. so they are usb ports. but i was wondering if you could hook an external harddrive to say the 4th port. that way you wouldnt have to open the xbox to install a bigger hdd for more space? sounds like a great idea right! let me know if its possible. thanks \m/thor\m/

While you're at it, hook up a printer so you can print screenshots. Just messing with you. You CAN hook up a USB external drive to the controller port, although, it will just act as a gigantic mem card. You won't be able to launch xbe's or even stream video. Just gamesaves and maybe pictures. _________________

is there some way i could wire it to the other hdd inside the box. the only reason im interested in this is because i need more space to put games on lol i could get a bigger drive but that doesnt seem like enough work for some reason lol. i like a challenge i guess. and why wouldnt i be able to use it like a normal hdd? what if it was set to master. and the other was set one was set to slave. the wiring isnt right thats the problem right? later \m/thor\m/

There are already 2 drvices (HDD and DVD-Rom drive) on the IDE channel, so you can't put any more on. _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!

No, unfortunatly I don't. I only have the 60gb I have in my own box.
If you post a request in the classified's, I'm sure that someone will be glad to accomodate you. maybe even format it and load UnleashX on it for you.
If you want I can look into how much I can get a new drive for. (Just let me know what size.) _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!
