I have a xecuter 2.6 ce chip (fitted with xapter..I can't solder!), I'm not sure if this is a chip-specific problem, but when i pause certain games, if left paused for too long, within a minute of un-pausing they will throw up a dirty disc message, this also happens if I press ejct to change games, I have to reboot to play a new game, this doesn't happen with all games though, and I have tried using moogui with a LYT file.
I'm using the latest bios and it's a v1.5 console btw, thanks in advance

Since these appear to be backups, had you tried using another make of media? Say instead of Maxell try TDK or something like that? Also be sure you are burning at the slowest rate possible, it may be that the disk isn't being burnt deep enough for the laser to resume properly.
Just a couple of thoughts.

I did think about that, but the fact that other games burned on the same discs work fine, I thought maybe that wasn't the prob', I've also tried cleaning the laser, but that didn't work either.
is this likely to be drive related, or could it be the chip/ bios?
