Hello, I have a question. I have a friend who just modded his xbox and he has the xenium ice modchip it has the operating system 2 and he has the evox m7 bios and used the autoinstaller from this site. Now, when he loads a game off of his hard drive or off a cd he can't get back to his dashboard without having to turn his xbox off and then back on from the console. I have a modded xbox with just the regular xenium with the 1.1 operating system with the evox m7 bios and I used slayers autoinstaller. When I am in a game I can hit the L and R triggers and the black and white and the back and start button all together and it resets it back to my evolutionX dashboard. Now my friend wants his to do that but it wont do it. I there something that has to be done? thanks in advance.

Your friend needs to change his Evox.ini file in regard to the IGR functions.
For starters he needs to look in his settings and see what IGR is set at and what each button is set at.

ok if it is the evox.ini file then what do I have to change and what do I change it to. Sorry for all the questions but I am pretty new to this and I dont know much about it. I do know what the evox.ini file is and where to locate it but what in the file do I need to do? thanks

I have seen other posts that say you should be able to change the setting from the system setting menu, but I am unsure as I can't change the settings even though I do see a save settings and exit choice.
If you FTP your evox.ini file over to your PC and look at it you will see a section that looks like this:
Start_Button = Yes
Back_Button = Yes
L_Trig = Yes
R_Trig = Yes
White_Button = No
Black_Button = No
A_Button = No
B_Button = No
X_Button = No
Y_Button = No
I went ahead and put in bold everything that I think has to do with IGR. See if your settings look like this. Especially the IGR=yes and check out the button config. as I am unsure if that will effect anything.
Also, are you using Evox as your primary dashboard? You will need to for IGR to work. If Evox isn't the dash that loads first when you boot up, then it's not your primary and the IGR function within evox won't work.
I hope this somewhat helps you.
Has he checked his settings in the "System Settings" menu of the evox dash? See if IGR at least says yes, if not see if he can change that within the menu. That way he may not have to mess with the evox.ini file at all.
I am unsure why I can't make changes to mine without using the .ini file. Maybe it's my version of Evox, dunno.

Thank you realmccloy, I am sure that will work. My friend is going to bring me his xbox for me to mess around with. He is wanting it set up exactly like mine is. I am going to try, but I didnt do anything to mine the slayer autoinstaller did everything, I didnt have to set up any of that stuff. But again thank you for you time.

Also, it depends on version of evox he's using, the latest one had some problems with the IGR I believe, ask DJB, he played with it more then myself, I went back to 3921, the version before the newest and I havent ever had a IGR problem.
Just an idea if changing the evox.ini doenst fix it for ya.

I have been messing with this xbox trying to get the IGR to work, but I have had no luck. First off evox is not the default dashboard. He used the autoinstaller from this site and when it boots up it kind of looks like the origonal microsoft dash but it has a lot more options and it is blue. It has things like hard drive, settings, apps, dashboards and stuff like that. not in the dashboards tab it has two evox dashboards and two avalaunch dashboards. when you click on either of those it loads up either evox or avalaunch. So my question is how do I set the default to evox? I have tried messing with the settings tab and it has things like quick launch 1 partition and quick launch 2 partition and quick launch 1 relative path and a bunch of other miscellaneous options (about 20 or 30 options). So is that where you make the default dash to evolution X and if so what do I have to do? By the way I did ftp the evox.ini file and when I opened it up it had a bunch of symbols and letters none of it made any sence. Every couple of lines would have some real words joined together but not much of it made sence to me. thanks in advance for your time

hey
the evox goes into the F:\ youll have to delete everything of the root just not the M$ dash. Then get the auto installer to install evox onto a larger hdd F:\ and then it should boot.
The dash you got going is THc.
Youll have look a far bit throught the evox.ini cos the stuff you cant read is the programing so dont worry. just keep looking _________________ Xbox v1.2
