well ur going to have to change your boot order anyways so on your bios change boot order to run from cd drive first...
and once u save the boot order... power off unplug and remove pc hd !! or it oculd damge it.. then put the cd to see if it runs it ...
I know how to change the bios. I did that last night, and it just kept saying things like "Disk boot error, insert system disk and press any key to continue"

ok so what ur goint to have to do is download a fresh copy of xboxhdm1.9 and re put the eeprom burn another cd ... or do the same but with a diffrent pc but ur on the right track thou.... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

Do you mean do the entire bit with a different PC, or just burn the CD on a different PC?

when u get to another pc download xboxhdm1.9 again...
and transfer the files u need/want then make iso win and burn the image...
btw what softmod did u mod it with??? not sid 4 or 4.5 righ??? because they work diffrently then other softmods usualy do... on C its not real .... but yea... back to this issue _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

simple... when u are making the hd just say yes to F
and then once the xbox is fully runing on unleash x their will be a folder called : G and then you highlight it and click formate.. and their u have it a half sec gets alll ur hd space ....

The funny part is the reason we're modding it.
One of our buddies always brags about how his xbox is sweet cause its soft modded and hadl ike a 100 gig hd....
so we decided to build one to shut him up.
After I get this done, Im taking the case apart and painting it, and changing the center logo, and making it a light up nautical star, and painting the xbox with tattoo art.
All Sailor Jerry style and such. Im a painter 1st, and a tech geek/modder 2nd.... or 5th....or 99th.

umm really what is their not to understand? u re download fresh new copy of xhdm1.9 put C on its C folder put E on its E folder ( if e applies) and put eeprom in eeprom folder.. make iso win burn the image take disc out change bios boot order cd drive first ide hd 2nd....
then power off uplug power take pc hd out disconnect both the blue cable and power cable... NOW here the part u seem to get confused...
IF UR CD DRIVE does not have 1 more plug on its port for the new hd u trying to do ..... THEN take its ide cable out completly and put the new ide cable from ur new hd which this cable should have 3 plugs ... 1 for one end of the motherboard and the other 2 to connect the hd and the cd drive... put ur hd as master and put ur cd drive as slave...

When I boot up the CD it opens up something called DR-DOS, not the Xbox Format program.... any ideas?

what???? i'v never heard of this lol..... go to another pc and download a fresh new xboxhdm1.9 ....... put on C retail ms dash and on eeprom folder well your eeprom and if u want to put somting on E then do so then click make iso win burn that iso and get on with the process... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition
