I just installed my new Xenium Gold and a Seagate 160GB hard drive. My chip seems to be working right but when I go to the Drive Upgrade Wizard it seems to freeze on Formatting Partitions... screen. When I boot to the regular Xbox screen I get error 7. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong and what I need to do? Thanks.

I dont think I flashed the chip yet. After I installed the chip I went to Launch Menu, Add A New Item, launched from TSOP, then clicked on Done on the Pick a bank name, picked a color. Then I went back to main page and tried to upgrade hard drive. So I don't think I flashed it , unless that was the flashing process?

Ah! The TSOP is the M$ bios, it won't allow you to do anything other than to go to the xbox dashboard that is stock with the xbox. You'll need another bios that's hacked such as the 4983.

Ok. Lets say I find this this hacked Bio (hoping I can find it) do I burn it to a disk to install or is there a different method?

Well let me guess, It takes a little time to download. So I just have to burn the the complete file or is there just a single file for the 4983?

Once you have AID 3 it's in the bios folder, very small file but oh so powerful.

How do I boot it up in my Xbox? Do I go to launch menu and hit the Add a new item or will boot up by itself? I hope my son appreciates this. All it doing for me is making me drink more beer.

I've have a few more ?'s will AID3 is downloading. First, can I burn the 4983 file on a CD-R and if so do I have to rename the file. Second, when I put hte disk in the Xbox and launch under new item, do I hit the TSOP or Flash button? Third , if TSOP , What do I name it so it reads the disk instead of going to my regular Xbox mode?

I have AID3 downloaded and I hope its the right one. I found a BIOS folder which holds other folders like MS, Debug, 512k, 256k and 1Mb folders. If this is right which folder do I need?

I got look around on this great website and found a X2.4983.BIOS download. If you can find that, could you tell me if this is what I need? I tried a couple of the little files and get nothing. I go to launch menu, Add New Item, hit Flash button, then shows c/ drive but nothing there. My son is thinking of me as a Joker right now instead of a King.
