I just got a brand new shiny Xecuter 2.6 CE on a V1.3 and I'm trying to install XBMC to play various media.

I have the chip installed and working fine, FlashBIOS.3.0.1 BIOS on the chip.

I am not able to install Evo-X. I have tried numerous bins and ISOs, but nothing boots from the disc. I cannot find any BIOS' on the web that seem to change this. I tried the huge .ZIP from here and put the ISO for the 4981 (which is supposed to boot from CD) and the specific EVOx BIOS, but neither would boot -or- was recognized from the "flash bios from disc"

I'm able to flash BIOS from network, if I had a 4981 image that wasn't ISO.

Anybody got any help/clues?

I would recommend useing a CD-RW or a DVD-R for the .ISO. Other than that if you D.L. AID 3.0, in the un-RAR'd folders (not in the .iso) you will find a good Bios for your chip.

I also do use CD-RW, DVD-R or DVD-RW - have tried them all
Getting AID 3.0 - I'll try that. Wish me luck

ERf, now I really don't know what to do..

Because absoltuely nothing, NOTHING would boot, (I've trie dlike 8-9 different ISOs from AIM 3.0 to 4981) I loaded Cromwell.

Now, I can't even seem to flash a bios anymore. Could somebody please point me to a tutorial that they KNOW works? I have tried 12 and they are all wrong.
