I have softmoded my 1.6 xbox and have softmod completed. I backed up eeprom, created new drive with xboxhdm, and locked new HDD; but am getting error 06 when powering on new hdd. Is there a different backup tool for 1.6 eeproms??? Or program to read 1.6 eeproms?
I tried loading configmagic for xbox, but it shows autoconfig as a version 1.0 xbox. It also generates thesame eeprom backup as evox did.
I am thinking this is only a 1.6 version problem because I have gotten the hd to lock and work on a version 1.1

let me put it this way.
error 06 means cannot unlock, you either used an eeprom.bin file that it's not from that xbox.
all xbox versions have the eeprom (no matter what) compatible with XboxHdm and will lock correctly. and xbox version is no restriction.
ConfigMagic can say many things, but it doesn't mean all of it is accurate.
Please make sure you are using the proper eeprom.bin dump from that xbox your going to use to upgrade the hdd. _________________ Xbox v1.1
