I just finished installing my xenium sp ic chip and already having problems. Now all I did was install the chip take it to my tv and try to start it, Of course i got the trying to load three times and then the red and green flashing. NOw I looked that up and it means one of two things. One being I have a bad bios and two being that I may have destroyed my motherboard. So I took out the chip and rebooted and everything went fine. what a relief. So then I started thinking about the bios and how I never installed one. But in my defense my chip was supposed to come with a pre flashed xenium os on it. To give you a list of tools I do have: crossover cable, laptop, xbox live and the auto installer disc 3.0. HOw do i flash the bios.

Hmmm, I don't have any 1st hand experience with Xeniums, but perhaps looking throught the Tutorials Section may help.
Otherwise, someone else may be able to help you _________________

Hey I have the same chip installed on my xbox version 1.0.First off you've picked a good chip. The xenium works lovely and comes with an onboard O.S. Once the chip is installed correctly all you have to do is fire up your box and the chip's menu screen should pop up.Are you doing the solderless install? The contacts between the adapter and the LPC are touchy if not seated correctly.Make sure the pinheader is seated nicely onto the lpc contacts. You might want to take the time to clean the lpc contacts CAREFULLY.I scraped away a little of the solder on each contact point to create a little depression for the spring loaded pin to seat in.Also the DO wire is so freakin tiny! This too must be inserted firmly with good contact. The install guide suggests a dab of solder on the DO wire.I was so paranoid about burning my motherboard that I superglued the DO wire to the mother board! 6 months now and it's still holding. And don't worry about the bios you don't need it to get the chip fired up intially.Once the Os is running (menu screen on tv) you set up your box for pc to xbox FTP to transfer bios ,dashboards and any other files you want.Another way cool feature, you can install a bios from a pen drive(jump drive) with the USB dongle inserted into the controller port. This helps if you are having trouble with the whole FTP thing.Check out the install guide here.

Make sure you backup the retail kernel(MS dash) first thing when you get chip working.Wow long winded sorry, bottom line check all contacts on pin header.Good luck. I see you're a VIP member so you can download a bios from the
vip download section also many other needed files. Thanks XBHQ! _________________ Xbox V 1.0

Thank you and dont apologize for the long wind. Its very helpful, I will check the connections again and reply today. It took me forever to find someone who also has my chip. Just a question though. If the superglue didntwork right, how would you take it off?

Superglue??? Please say you didn't use that. Remember that the xbox heats up. Anyway, It sounds like the d0 is not connected right. There are some chips that come with a thin d0 wire and others with a wider d0. If you have the wider d0 you might have to shave the tip a bit so that it will fit in the hole correctly.(Shut up Shark2th) That should fix the fragging issue. _________________

yeah originally I was having some trouble connecting the d0 wire but then someone told me that it didnt go through it , just that it just sets in there comfortably. Well it seems to be sitting in there just fine. could I have been misinformed? that has happened quite often to me lately.
