ok ive softmodded around 5 xboxes now and when my friend gave me his yesterday i thought it was gonna be a piece of cake like the rest of the boxes....but it is not , in fact its giving me nothing but grief. Im very fimiliar with all the steps and know them by heart but when i load the linux profile it just goes to the evox dashboard with the normal options like "launch dvd" and "games and apps", instead of the blue screen where you backup the C drive and install the dashboard of choice. My friend's xbox was bought in Dec. of 04, so its newer then the rest of the xboxes i have softmodded... im not fimiliar with any if the other SID's besides v2.0,
and im gettin stressed beacuse i belive im losing my touch...lol
any help would be much apperciated.

mercado? that sounds fimilir anyways back to this thread... lol im not judging or anythin but 22 box's and u only know how to softmod via sid2? lol...
now what u wanna do is try to softmod it with somthing called SID 4 ... or sid 4.5 ... this is newer!.... sid 2 is outdated...
ok so what u want to do is if ur xbox u trying to mod is stil retail then on ms dash WIPE OUT everything that is related to modding files... then get sid 4.0 ... 4.5 is for ppl that use more of xbl and pal users.. so i say 4.0 is good for newbies.. it should be 2 files... the linux lancher plus the game save of the game of choice....
so i dont know if u know but with sid 4.0 it is script so a noob cannot break the mod and he/she can go to xbox live w/out gettin ban period!!!....
if u want to futher learn more on behalf of sid 4. and and all of the newest info regardin it.. then go to softmod installer deluxe discussions and softmod disccusions.. JUST TO STAY UP TO THE DATE.. i high recommend it dude its worth it... this is the ultimate softmod.. _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

thanks i will dl SID 4.0, i am aware of SID 4.0 but i had 2.0 on my computer and when i did softmod those boxes that was the standard and i figured why mess with a good thing but i will use SID 4.0.
BTW: there's really no difference between 4.0 and 4.5 besides a few minor PAL fixes, and some eeprom stuff

i downloaded 4.5 and got it to work... but i cannot find the evox files, like the skins folder ... ive tried creating in inside different dir. but i cannot seem to load my skins into evox.
btw what are the differnces between 4.o and 4.5?

umm u can read whats diffrent between 4.0 and 4.5 but 4.0 is safer while 4.5 is better for xbl users and for pal users... also i think unleash x is better then evo-x... i suggest that one.... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition
