hi all and thanks for taking the time to look at my post, i am in a spot of trouble with my xbox. I used the auto installer delux v3.1 (Splinter cell) and all went well i backed up my M$ dash and ny eeprom. I installed the softmod (NKpatcher) i followed all the instructions that the manual give but the problem came when i was patching my M$ dash back to the C drive it loaded all the way to 99% then came up with a error :

Failure
Batch process failed.
The last item was: .
Action: Rename

i selected ok and restarted my xbox but all that happens is that it says on screen "Xbox live is not responding Please try again later". I currently do not have xbox live so i am unable to connect to it.

The xbox will still play retail games.

Info :
My xbox is retail and has never been chipped or softmodded (before i started)

i got the same prob, i istalled and then unistalled the softmnod, well restored my backups and now everytime i just leave the tray open and start the xbox it says xbox is trying to update, and then xbox live is not responding try again l8er:(


please help

Boot with the softmod, use your computer, find a MS backup that you can FTP over to E:\Backup\MS. FTP it over....... Then softmod. It should fix your problem.
