u can get the software free but u need the card to transfer it as well so its pretty much pointless cuz its kinda a pain in the a** to make one... so i'd say just pay $30 for it and enjoy that it can transfer stuff as well so its useful. _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

You will need a X.B. controller-to-female USB adapter and then reconfigure the A.R. driver for your flashdrive. Voila! Home made A.R!
There are Tutorials that give details on how to do this.(that's how I did my 1st soft-mod.)
If you want to Soft mod for free(virtually), you can:
1. D.L. Xbox HDM1.9, MSdash files and the softmod gamesaves.
2. Make an HDM cd with MSdash files in the "C" folder and the gamesave Udata & Tdata folders in the "E" folder.
3. Hotswap(following Pirrup's H.S. Tut.) and reload your Xbox HDD.

xbox controller cost about $30 plus that special cable ? plus shipping so in the end result more cost... dude i think its better to get the AR for $30 and save time and money and troubles... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

Ok before you guys get in to a fight over this I think ChewkA1309 has to make his question more detailed they didnt really state it was software they wanted or the actual hardware, and if its hardware they are wanting free i highly doubt thats going to happen. _________________

Fine heres what my situaion is: I am 14, I have a XBOX, I want to know how to softmod without a chip (with chip is also fine) reson being is because my parents wont put their credit card on the internet because of hackers and such. I Heard of AR and you guys and thought I could get somthing worked out but cant because it involes credit card issues. If I can get a chip that I CAN TUREN ON AND OFF (because I dont want to use it in machmakeing and get booted) and I most likely cant buy it online. What are my options?????? Get your parents to get a prepaid credit card if its available in your area and have them load it up with money so you can get the AR card, that way if the hackers do manage some how to get the number they cant pull any money off of it anyways because it will be empty by the time they get to robbing it after the fact that you have the card.
