Hello everyone, I dont understand some things on xbox HD. if anyone can explain to me I appreciate a lot.
The question is which is the difference between a lock HD and unlock HD?
I dont understand if the lock hd function make any difference on properly funtion of the xbox when playing games. I thinking on upgrade the xbox HD but I want to undestard this thing first.

A harddrive running in locked mode will enable you to boot to the MS dash, and thats it. If you have a softmod, you *obviously* have to keep it locked.
With your xenium ice, I would tell you to keep it unlocked. This has no effect on how the xbox runs, loads, etc. The reason to keep it unlocked is because if your xbox motherboard ever dies, you can just put in your unlocked hdd and be good to go. Locked Hdd's will give you an error message. Hope this sheds so light on your hard drive question.
