hi there i have been trying to softmod my xbox but i am having no luck.i updated it online so the ms dash is up to date and i have tried three different mod installs and all do the same thing.i get a black screen and nothing happens.the box version is 1.0 and i am using splinter cell cause it is all i could get a hold of and a action replay card and loader.my splinter cell is not the platinum hits version(i already made that mistake once)but it still don't work for me.
any sugestions would be greatly aprieciated i don't know what else to try.i am attatching a screen shot so you can see what i have already tried.

Hello there,
you must be more specific what doesn't work? what are you trying? did you delete all your splinter cell saves before doing it?

i delete all saves and put the linux profile and the loader.i shut off machine and turn it back on.i check memory and make sure again everything is saved right.i put in my splinter cell game and go to load linux and my screen goes black and nothing.sometimes the led turns orange but sometime it don't the only thing the same every time is the black screen.i'm lost i don't know what to do that i haven't already tried i even tried a coldboot with the game and still nothing.is a chip my only option here?

I believe the problem is that you might have the PAL version. I accidentyly did that and that was the problem. Make sure of your type of Gamesave. _________________ Moddingbandit

i think i figured out my trouble.i still don't have it working but i think i now know why.
"Note that many Action Replay cards corrupt large saves which results in a black or error 21 screen. Solution would be to use
a small gamesave exploit to grant access to the hd and copy this save to the E:\UDATA folder via ftp. Or use another memory
card."
i found this in the readme of Krayzie Ndure Pack.i think it explained a lot cause i'm sure i followed the instructions to the letter but all the same result.
