Hi,
I have a Gen1 Xbox that has been chipped. My HDD is quickly running out of space too. I have an external USB HDD. Is it possible to connect this disk to my XBox using a USB adapter?
Thanks for your help,
Jamie

I should have mentioned that I would like to use XBMC with the HDD.

If your talking about booting from the external disk, then I don't beleive its possible. The USB drive could be used as a very large memory card, so you could use a file manage to read/write to it I beleive, but thats about the extent of it AFAIK. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

yes, no, mb so.
if the hdd is compatible and it's accepted by the xbox, yes
if the hdd is formated like a memory card, yes
you cannot load xbe files from it, so you can't launch games from it or any other form of an application.
You may store music, video and other media and use it, but I doubt XBMC allows the use of memory card devices for media browse.
so, once again, yes, no, mb so. _________________ Xbox v1.1
