I have looked at previous posts about this but I think I need some personal attention.
My pc (XP) connects to the internet through a router. I have the Cat-5 from the cable modem to the router. Also, the XBOX (softmod) is connected to the router with CAT-5.
I have no problem ftp'ing when I change the IP address on my PC to 192.168.1.187 (XBOX IP is 192.168.1.188 with DHCP). However, this doesn't seem to provide my XBOX with internet access, as the weather on XBMC doesn't appear as it did at my modders apt. Also, I have to renew my PC's IP after this to go back online.
Anyways, my pc's IP when I can surf is like 22.24.x.xx. I've tried the XP's network wizard and stuff but I'm still pretty clueless.
So basically I want my pc and xbox to be ONLINE at the same time...

switch your xbox IP settings to match those of your PC when its able to go online, so change it to like 22.24.x(same as pc).x(anything different from any computers on your router), and make sure they have the same gw and subnet etc... _________________ Xbox-V1.1-Xenium GOLD OS 2.3.1-X2 5035
