Hello im having problems geting this to work. ive burned it about 5 times now with no luck. i have a Thom. dvd drive and ive tried burning to sony cd-rw , sony cd-r , maxell dvd-r , maxell dvd+r , and mamorex cd-r. but got the "does not reconize disk" error every time. i beleive im burning it right - ive followed the tut. on all. Im very new to this and have just put a muppetx chip in the xbox and it seems to be working at least the xbox still works and seems to turn on the chip. but not sure. could a louse connection on the chip be the prob. or should auto installer load even with the ms bios? all my games still load fine. or do i need to use another brand of disk? Please help i need to get my kids xbox put back together!!!!!

well what is your current modded dash board? And if you installed a chip, you have to flash the bios on it so it will work properly. If you havent yet, I suggest looking in the ID 3 d/l bc it has many of the latest. Look on the site for the right bios you need. But the disc wont read maybe for 2 reasons:
A) you are burning it way too fast and with a wrong program. Make sure you only burn at a max of 4x and use a program like dvd decrypter or ultra iso. Something like that.
B) Or you just haven't flashed the bios so the chip wont run w/o flsahing them first. You can read up on bios on this site. _________________ Moddingbandit

well the only thing i can think of is burring the wrong settings... once its an xbox iso burn it as iso , udf , image type of files.. then make sure it finilises the disc otherwise it wont be readable... dvd-r usualy work al the time.... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

im using DVD Decrypter to burn it and at 1x write speed and it does finish all the way. i dont have a modded dash yet - just ms dash --- thats 1 reason im trying to get the auto installer to work .... i quess ill try to flash bios but i thuoght my chip already was... thanx

Chips don't come pre-flashed with a modded bios, legal reasons, so you have to flash your chip with a modded bios depending on some certain factors that you can read up on. Do that first, I can almost bet that's your problem. _________________ XBOX v1.6c

wait u were trying to make a retail xbox load a unsiged code? aid 3 is not certified by ms so it wont run no matter what... until its hacked of course.....
as for the reflash i dont know but its somewhere here...

>> We received a sample of the MuppetX chip from Divineo. It's a gen3b flashable LPC modchip working on Xbox v1.0-1.6 that retails at a suggested price of 25USD.
The socketed flashchip (SST) is 1024KBytes and there's a 2x512KB multi-bios switch on the modchip. One bank is pre-flashed with the Evox M8 (LBA48-06/IGR) BIOS the other bank is pre-flashed with a cromwell-based flashbios.
If you solder the optional points you'll also get a HDD-activity led and you'll be able to en/disable the modchip using the Xbox frontpanel power button. Quickpress power button will boot the original (on motherboard) bios, if you press power button for +1sec the Xbox will boot with the selected bios bank of the MuppetX. The Xbox powerled will indicate the current mode and HDD activity aswell.
It can be installed using headerpin or wires. There's a plug on the MuppetX with 4 wires for D0/LFRAME and the optional points for a HDD-led, xbox power button control and mode display.
The Muppet Team has also announced a programmer and a solderless adapter for all Xbox (v1.6 included) to be released within 2 to 3 weeks.

ok well while checking my soldering ive somehow broke c7r3 anybody know the value of it....my kids r gonna kill me............. now it just tries to start 4 times then just flashes red and green with nothing on the screen..... please help if u can i dont want to buy a new board......

u dont have a modded dash yet and your trying to make aid 3 run?

i thuoght that was the purpose of auto installer- to install dashboards and other apps. am i missing somthing???????????

if auto installer isnt what i need to put evo dash on my box then what do i need????????????? as ive said when i started this forum i am very new to this and ive read about as much as i can ( wife , kids , job, and gen. life) i dont quess i have the time to do much more research)
ok i know the chip i have (muppetx) is sappossed to have evo m8 bios but no- when it starts even after holding the power botton for a few secs. it starts up to the MS dash not an evo. ive tried it in both switch pasitions with the same results ??? theres a blue led on the chip that flashes - should it stay on if the chip is on? and ive read that others with this chip have asked about flashing it saying that after install on startup it goes to a screen asking if they want to flash from hard drive ,dvd,ect. mine does not so anythoughts does this thing need to be fashed before i try to run aid or anything else??? its not asking me to flash it??Please help???even if you are a 16 year old if you got answers , im listening

You need a linux game save, a way to get it on your xbox, and the original game. Copy the correct game save to the xbox and then load the game. When the game starts load the save. From there just follow some of the fine tutorials the other generous members have posted.

ur lost huh ... ok aid is a bundle of stuff for modded xbox (s) .... umm what you need right now is to hack the xbox on its secuirty system... so what u need to do is called a SOFTMOD ... my way of view.. softmod is software modicications... hardmod hardware modicifations... k we got that right?
now on a softmod your not chaing the bios = basic input output system.. (it just redirects the retail bios) which tell xbox how to work this n that.. now what a chip ur overwriting the bios with a hacked one ..... as where a software does... ex... power on xbox loads retail bios .......BLIP BLIP ......... DETOUR! ... then loads the hacked bios... software bios are known as : pbl and nkpatcher.. nkpatcher is what we use on sid 4 . and pbl sucks compared to nkpatcher.. but the bios is not what u need to know....
so u need sid4 or 4.5 .... i recommend sid 4 .... not 4.5 since ur new to this and sid 4 is script for noobs so u dont make a mistake.. 4.5 is somewhr the same but less secure... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition
