i want to do it with my computer but i need to go by a diffrent ide cable couse my xbox is diffrent then my computers !!! but can i hotswap my xbox to my friends softmodded plz help if so tell me how !!!!

Please be more precise.

I don't understand what you said or asked.

You should know that the Xbox HD is "married" to its specific Xbox motherboard. The info to this relationship is stored on an eeprom on the motherboard. You can't just be swapping drives around without knowing what you're doing.

im saying is Can i hotswap my xbox with my friends softmodded so i can get my dash back and all i have NO DASHBORED !!!!! i heard u can HOTSWAP XBOXES TOGETHER with one modded can it be softmodd !!!!!!!!1
