i have a softmodded xbox and an xbox that is completely dead.
i want to change the eeprom on the dead xbox's hd for use in my softmoded xbox. so i have a extra drive if it goes out. is it possible and if so how
i have a pc and an softmodded xbox

It sounds like you don't have the bin backup. You can always desloder the eeprom, put it in your other box with the matching harddrive. _________________

Is the dead XBox softmoded?
Does it power at all?
If not you have 2 options:
1. Fix dead box and unlock HDD
2. (What Impwiz said.)
If it was Softmoded:
Is there a master password? (Such as TEAMASSEMBLY, or XBOXSCENE.) _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!

it was soft modded how do i know if it had those passes and if it did how do i use them

also what if i have access to a chipped xbox could i use it to change the eeprom on the hard drive
or could i change it using hotswap to unlock and some other prog to change it

You can unlock it with XBOX HDM 1.9 using option 3, if you have the right master password. You can try to unlock 5 times before you need to reboot. _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!
