Can we take a hard drive, convert it to an xbox then leave it in the PC to copy games from converted drive to normal drive then burn to a DVD-R.

negative. Different formats. Only way is to transfer with FTP.

Thanks. But how does the PC know wether or not it an external ftp (moded box) or an internal one (moded drive).
