Well i cant seem to find this problem any where. I got this box from my brother that he tried to chipmod. it has the front consol panel and a X3 mod chip it. I dont know if the c: drive was backed up and the eeprom. What i do know is that the box does turn on and load either ms dash or a hacked dash. But as you all know, you cant play on xbox live with the mod chip on. Well i selected the boot with chip off in the menu and well i get the dreaded window saying please call customer service. Well im confussed. If been trying to find a full backup of a c: drive and a backup of a eeprom to do a hotswap to maybe bring it back to origianl state. He mainly wants to beable to turn on the chip for his normal play and then off to play on line. I have read somewhere. that you can softmod a box and play online with it. Ill keep reading the forums while i wait for a answer. Im useing the Aid 3.0 full iso. Maybe theres a answer on the readme.
Well i think i might have found out the problem. First since i havent changed the eeprom that i know of. I just used the X3 to back to e and the ftp it to my pc. For what i can tell its still good. it gave me a date of last year. then i formated the hard drive useing the X3 and then loaded up the AID3 and installed the msdash back to the box. restarted and everything still fine. I backed up the c drive again and FTP it to my pc so now i have both the msdash and the eeprom. Now i was running threw the menu's in the X3 and came across that my hardrive was not locked. Well im pretty sure it has to be locked to beable to play online. Well i enabled it and then scolled down to the boot with out mod chip on. well it loaded just fine. Then i checked all the network settings and BAMMM. Im logged in on XBox live. I sure hope its safe to play.

Yep sounds like you got it going...Just make sure your c partition has nothing but the MS dash in it, or that could spell trouble. If that's how you have it, when the red 'X' shows on the x3 panel, you're good to go. _________________
