I installed AID 3, but my xbox keeps booting to the MS dash, I tried everything, also PBL, but nothing works. If I choose boot from C drive dashboard in the aid menu, it boots xbmc, but if I reboot the xbox there is ms dash again...

I have an xbox with the enigmah chip, I boot with the AID3 dvd, I format, I install ms dash, I install xbmc as c drive dash, and when I reboot it starts the ms dash instead of xbmc.
When I do the same on my other (executer chipped) xbox, it boots xbmc like it should.
I found a sollution by renaming xboxdash.xbe to msxboxdash.xbe and evoxdash.xbe to xboxdash.xbe... then it works, but how can I make this work without this renaming?

I'm having the same problem although I don't have a clue what chip I have. Surely I don't have to load the AID disc everytime I want to use a hacked dash or use an application?
I was hoping you guys in the know would be familiar with this and have an answer!!

Gus, my man that helped me out when I got my first box last xmas. After opening it up it turns out it wasn't softmoded as I suspected. There's an Apple chip in it.
Anyway, I've come along a bit over the last couple of months but still don't really know the ins and outs of what I'm doing!
I've just got hold of another chipped box,not the one we discuused just after xmas. The hard drive was f**cked so I started by replacing it with a working unlocked hard drive from another chipped box. So now it works but I can't get it to boot to an alternative dash unless I have AID in the tray and do it through the boot dash option on that. I noticed you replied on my other post in the Newbie section but it just points me to FTP rather than explain why I can't do what I'm trying to do!
Any advice? Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I've replaced the screwed drive with a new one from another box that I know has UnleashX,XBMC and loads of other stuff already on it. The problem is, no matter which button I boot up the box with I get the MS dash. The only way I can access all the other stuff on the drive is if I put in my AID 3 disc and use the 'boot dashboards' option near the bottom of the main menu.
So just to be clear my question is how can I get the chipped xbox to boot UnleashX (which I know is installed on c drive) without putting the AID disc in the tray?

grab the aid and choose unleash x as a dash .... so basicly ur re puttin the same ux dash and it should boot up normal. _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

I asume you're saying I should reinstall Unleash X on drive c right?
