I have soft moded and chipped my xbox (dont ask why long story) and i was wondering if i can chuck in my mates retail xbox hard drive cus he unlocked it during soft moding and forgot to lock it before turning his xbox off, the only back up copy of his eeprom is on his xbox hard drive. So i was wondering if i could chuck his drive in my xbox to ftp his eeprom back up to my pc.
Any info would be mad, Cheers.

i think since u have a chip mb all you have to do is run chip with unlocked hd and and using aid 3 there should be configmagic and you should be able to lock it ....
but im not quite sure as i never try this so if any one else can verify this, much apriciate it ....
also mb if u run xboxhdm1.9 and plug that unlocked hd and go to option 3( and type in lockhd -a might work _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

I have the hard drive in my xbox but it gives me a error 13....

now I think that is expected. But put in your AID disc and use config magic to lock it back. That should work. Any input from others would be great.
