I'm trying to load roms off of the BAED3A MameOX roms compilation disc. It loads up to MameOX when I insert the dvd-r. I have used the scan for roms option and I get a huge list. However, when I press A to play a rom it goes to a "Loading. Please wait..." screen and stays there. I have tried many of the roms on the disc, are there any option I need to enable, or is this a bad dvd-r, firmware etc.?

check that the .ini or .xml file (if it has one) points to the correct directories where your roms are located..
Apart from that try using DVD2XBOX to dump the dvd you created to your xbox hdd and then boot from it.. It may work.. You can also edit anything and get it working on your hdd and copy back to your pc for burning.
