I installed the evox dash and wanted to see if i could restore my xbox back to the ms dash, just for learning purposes. I thought I followed all the instructions right. Very Happy
But no. now when i boot with no disc i get a message
xbox live is now updating your system please dont turn power off..
xbox live is not responding please try again later...

my xbox does load a game when booted..
is there anything i can do..or am i screwed..
i was thinking there was a way to reformat hdd like a computer and start fresh but im not sure..im new to modding.

I really want to get back to playing again..besides its not even my xbox Very Happy Very Happy Shocked

Just resoftmod your box (you might have to use sid 3 Because it sounds like you don't have a proper MS Backup.) Once the softmod is done, boot AID. Then choose the File explorer (manager?) and open up the C drive. Erase everything (press X until everything on the left side changes color, then press start and select delete).

When that is done, go back to the main menu and choose "Install MSDash 5960"

This will start your box back to scratch. when you pop out the disc, everything will be stock. Resoftmod, and follow the isntructions to the t
