Hi
I just sent my xbox to a shop who will upgrade it with a XenoFX chip , and a 120gb HD.
But they will not install any software/dashboard.
Now i have been trying AID 3.0 on my stock Xbox. both CD-RW and DVD+RW. But no luck.. ( Maybe itīs not ment to work before chipping )
Xbox wont read the disks.
Now when the Xbox returns from the installershop, the hdd is clean , and chipped with either evos or xecuter chip , depense on my xbox version (not sure witch i got). How am i gonna proceed, when it returns.

You would do the same thing that you were trying to do before the mod and stuff the dvd in to the dvd drive, it should boot right up.\

well when it does return, it should be able to load the disc then. It won't work on a nonmodded xbox. If they install and flash the chip, then it should be ready to go except for installing the dash. But since you will nopw have the chip, it will be easy to just ftp a dashboard to your harddrive and you should be good to. The hdd should come ready to install stuff onto it. If not just use the AID to partition your hdd, and I think that will to it.

The shop you sent your Xbox to is protecting themselves properly.
If they loaded an "illegal" bios on your computer and installed "illegal" software they could be subject to fines and jail time.
When you get your Xbox back you'll have to do some research regarding flashing the bios. The information is readily available and pretty straight forward.
The reason you cannot read AID 3.0 on your stock Xbox is that it is "unsigned" code. You'll have to wait until your box has bneen chipped to read and use its functions. _________________ Not quite a Newbie

exactly, just use this site to look up your chip and dash version to find the right bios for you.

Iīll just sit tight and wait till it returs then.
ps. i have been checking out the drive, and it seems to be a Samsung dvd. Does look like itīs the worst drive to have. ( medie choise )
Maybe i should get some dvd-r disks , so i am sure the drive can read it.

yea its always good to be prepared. Yea I don't like the samsung dirve. My friend has one and when I try to put stuff on his box, it rarely works. So I would stock up on w/e you think you need to be ready.
