I have a problem!! I can't load any files to my memory stick and Action Replay won't recognize it either. I have uninstalled AR and the USBIO drivers and re-installed them however this is not working. Any ideas on how to fix this problem or is there another way I can work around this issue. Thanks for the help!!

Dude!
Working to use the USB stick as a memcard!
That's awesome! I wanted to do that too and did.
The issue is that your computer will format it then the Xbox will format it and back and forth. The key is to get the computer to recognize the USB for what it is, an Xbox memcard.

I did it and you can too!

Come with me to this thread, read it and you will be happy!

I'm ahead of you on that I have already had this working once however my memory card will not appear in the xbox memory screen nor will it format via the xbox, even after I format it on the pc... when I put the memory key in the xbox the screen flickers and nothing appears.

You have to be in the M$ dash for the Xbox formatting to occur.

You need to be at the "Memory" menu in M$Dash for it to format the mem-stick. If the memorystick does not light up and stay lit when plugged into the XBox, then it may take too much power for the XBox to power it(maybe try a powered USB hub).

For a memorystick to be recognized by AR it needs to be X.B. formatted already, DO NOT FORMAT IT ON THE PC. Then you need to modify and reload the driver with the correct hardware signature for it to be recognised by Win as the right type of hardware.

I am at the "memory" menu in M$dash. I plug the stick into my home made USB connector and the Screen Flickers for a split Second and nothing. It won't even format it.... I wish it would

If you have the option to format it on the PC, then the A.R. driver is NOT configured correctly. When the driver is configured correctly, you will not find it in "My Computer", you will only find it in the "Device Manager" (and it will not show up as a "mass storage device").

My 1st question is:
Does the memorystick light up and stay lit?
If yes, does a memory card show up just off one of the corners of the XBox that is displayed on the screen? if there is, then you need to go to it and press "A".

If it is not staying lit then it is not recognized by the XBox for one reason or another.

Some other questions are:

What brand and size/model of memory stick is it?
Have you tried any other usb devices?
Do you have a USB hub that you can try? Powered?
Have you checked your solder joints with a multimeter?
What troubleshooting have you done already?
What do you not have the capability to do?(ie. because of not having a multimeter or knoledge required, etc.)

P.S.
I'm not trying to flame you or "Barrage" you with questions. You're just not volunteering a whole lot of information, and I need more information if I am to help you properly. Shocked Smile Shocked

AND

I am sorry for the lengthy post. Very Happy
