I softmodded my xbox a little while ago and love it. I first installed EvoX through the splintercell hack. And then used Auto Installer Deluxe 2.11 to put XBMC as my main dashboard which I am satisfied with.
The real problem is that when I went to a buddies to install XBMC as the main dash i put it on and everything was fine. Then when I went to his evoX i realized he couldn't access the MS dash. So I noticed the MS Dash install on the Auto installer and thought it would work even though it didn't say patch. After I did this the system restarted and brought up and error page saying "Your Xbox Requires Service. Please Call Customer Support". So this set me to a state of panic, not my xbox my buddies. So i went home to get my splinter cell and mem adapter to do it all over again. And then was informed the person who did it used MechAssualt.
My question is, has this happened to anyone and if so did they just use the Game Ex. Mechassualt to reinstall Linux and fix it???

Why not just go to the video store and rent Mechassault? You send a little, but less headache....or maybe just lazyness
From there you should install the m$dash +nkpatcher from the softmod menu of AID THEN install xbmc.

I put auto installer deluxe 2.11 back into the drive and it couldn't read it, it would just bring up the "xbox needs to be serviced screen"

which is expected. You have to load Mechassault and re-install the softmod. After that is when you will load AID. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

thanks for your help. So im not going to be the one doing it because my buddy went to visit his friend at school. and he has mechassault. So it should work I hope.
