Ok so here's the situation.
I've been trying to fix my friends xbox now for a few days before it finally dawned on me that her hard drive was knackered.
I've been looking on numerous websites and cannot find any, based in the uk, that sell xbox hard drives. Does anyone know why this is, or where I can buy them?
Also, could I not just buy an ordinary hard drive and use the xboxhdm to build a new drive?
Does i need to buy a certain kind of drive, with a certain amount of space?
Any help is much appreciated.
Thank you
Chris

You dont have to buy an Xbox specific hdd to use. You can use a regular hdd and the xbhdm if you like. Just look in the HardDrives section and find out which ones worK. The hdd section is a list of hdds used and tested before by others so that you will know which ones you can and cannot use. Hope everything works out.
P.S. You are going to need your friends eeprom for the locking and unlocking of the hdd. If you dont have it then hopefully you have a modchip in the xbox or you might be screwed... _________________ http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-211.html
