One thing for people to remember is that 90% of these resellers are just a dude with a garage and a PC, or maybe a mini warehouse to work out of. I can tell you I get a ton of flack about resellers on TX, between shipping and production problems the manufacturers have to resellers giving dates for backorders without any official info from the team.
The basic rules of thumb I have for people are:
1. Read the different forums and research a reseller before you order. Stay away from reseller rating sites, only pissed people post on those things. On the forums you get a better look at bitch and praise, and if you see somebody piss and moan, but a bunch of people stand up for the reseller, they are probably ok.
2. Don't preorder, even when Ice and the X3 came out there was no real shortage if you looked around.
3. Don't except back order status if somebody else has it in stock, get your money back unless they can give you a good deal, like free shipping, specially when you ordered it said "In Stock".
4. If ordering in the US from Canada, DON'T USE THE CHEAPIE XPRESS OR AIRMAIL. Yeah, save a couple buck but wait a couple weeks. I have had a skin set in customs for 4 months now because I got the free tool kit that came witha 3/5 inch Xacto blade. They charged my credit card on December 19th (approved and deducted) and today they finally got their X3 in stock and I recieved an email saying my order was declined. OMFG. They took my money now they are telling me the order is declined. you can check my full post @ xbox scene if the moderator approves it.... as bmmods being a XS-sponsor i seriously doubt they will post any negative but truthful feedback. politics.
Just something else BMMods can do to add insult to injury. I've made a support ticket and i'm awaiting a response. So far the support is by far the worst i've seen in a long time.
For proof: email me for a screenshot of my bank statement Dec. 19th $92.97 was deducted from my card.
