Okay forahobby, I officially placed an order. Will let you know what the product is like.
The fact that they have the vinyl skins is very nice. Unlike GameConsole Skins, the vinyl skins dont' crinkle up and show every fingerprint, swirl, and imperfection.
I ordered a jewel skin and a console skin. Got the 10% discount too...not too shabby!
I like that they ship priority mail too. The last time I ordered a skin it took three weeks to get!
Their order process was fast and their checkout was smooth and painless.
I have one question though...what's decal girl look like?? Is she a hotty??

Of course she is... I'd never marry an ugly woman!
The printed skins, honestly, are our specialty. The clear coat over the image and the patented removable adhesive make them a breeze to apply and ensures they'll outlast the console.
Funny test we did on the printed ones. I actually removed a skin from one of our test boxes, took it outside, dropped it on the pavement to pick up sand and dirt to where it wouldn't stick to anything. I brought it in, rinsed it off by hand with warm water and got all the dirt off then laid it in the sun with the adhesive side up to dry. Half an hour later, I applied it back on the xbox and it looked as good as new.
With the chrome ones, they're more apt to show dirt and fingerprints than anything else - it's the nature of a reflective surface. They look great, but out of any skin material, they're the hardest to maintain. They come with clear application tape over them - most scratches and such are from installing it; the application tape prevents that.
Thanks,
Ryan

Some random notes...
On the non-chrome vinyl skins - they're made from cast Avery 8-yr durable vinyl. Pretty thin so it conforms very well to curves, is very glossy and won't shrink or fade like the more common calendared vinyls. The material costs up about 75% more, but it's the best stuff you can get. Again, it comes with a clear application tape layer over it to protect the surface while installing it. Be careful with the solid colors - they stretch easily, so if you go yanking it around while installing like a madman, you may hurt it.
If anyone is trying to match the "xbox green" color, order the "Jewel Green" skin - it's almost a perfect match for the stock jewel.
Make sure your xbox is clean - we use a damp rag followed by rubbing alcohol (do NOT use furniture polish - I kid you not, it happened once). The surface should to be clear of all oil/dirt for optimal placement.
Take your time and align things carefully before applying. For the top X, it helps to have a friend hold the other side and you both position it.
Install instructions are posted on www.decalgirl.com under both the "Site Map" and "My Account" areas.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact any of us. All contact info (email, web, phone) is also on the invoice that comes with your order - keep that handy if you need a replacement piece (it happens occasionally, mosy of the time we can just throw one in the mail to you).

HA..thanks for the gratuitous pic!! But, the chick on the left looks more like a guy...
I also use the Avery Vinyl for the skins I sell, I like how strong they are plus the fact that they come pre-colored for me is sweet!
You are correct about the glossy ones showing all the fingerprints and such. What I really hate about the one I currently use is all the swirl marks from using a felt cloth to dust the machine! I don't even press on it, I just use light sweeping motions remove dust and it still gets swirled.
I look forward to checking out your skins!
Good luck with everything! I'll be sure to join your affiliate program when my site is finished. I am only schlepping the solid colors so it would be nice to offer my clients the kick ass specialty skins that you have!
Take care,
Jeff McCloy

We settled over a year ago on the A8; the A6 seems to be more common (because it's cheaper) and isn't as flexible as the A8. I think that A8 is designed to mimic paint - it conforms to the compound curves and won't shrink. Initial testing we did with the A6 was pretty bad - over time the vinyl would shrink (an inherent problem with calendared material) and wasn't real glossy.
A quick tip for working with our skins. Most are the expensive cast vinyl; to "gloss" them back up, hit them with a hair dryer real quick. The heat will "reflash" the surface and restores the gloss.
We've got a pretty nice wholesale program in place for qualified resellers, when the time comes. No reason you couldn't offer the printed skins yourself and make some extra $$ on it. We're just below you in Delaware, so shipping to you is only a day or so.
Your order shipped this afternoon; with any luck you'll have it tomorrow.

Skin came today, love the color!
You need to 'bonehead proof' the way people select starter, master, or eXpert 360 kits. I must've used the scroll wheel after I selected master kit and I inadvertently changed it to starter kit. I never even paid attention to the price or the invoice as I am an impatient fool...HA.
Like I said, bonehead!!
Looks great though! Highly recommended!!
Can't believe how fast I got it!

Well, the skin is on. I haven't put the jewel skin on as I am going to put it on one of my Halo machines.
But, here's what it looks like. The color is awesome...totally flawless. I should post a pic of the piece of crap that was on it before..I won't mention the companies name that I got the subpar skin from **cough GameConsole Skins** cough cough**..

You know, we thought we should post pics of our own xbox...
Custom semi-translucent skin on a crystal case (with macthing controllers). It's got a Xenium Ice chip, EvolutionX dashboard, a ton of apps and a 120GB HD that's getting ready to get an upgrade...

Have you seen the Dodge Commercial where the geek at the fast food joint is dreaming of Racing a Dodge Truck with a Hemi? He burns rubber, wins the race and all kinds of beautiful women surround him, only for him to awake and find it was a dream?
Then his geek buddy with the hair net yells...sweet.
I have suddenly turned into the burger flipping geek with the hair net!!

The more that I look at that skin, the more I want a translucent skin for two Halo Units that I have. Wonder how much licensing bullSh*t you would have to go through to make a special one just for that xbox?
Maybe some cool Halo graphics, covenant shots? I could just see the skin now....
I know that the market is limited on the Xbox Halo SE as only 200,000 were made, but I'd definitely pick up a bunch!!
