What I am trying to do is get halo2 on a stock hard drive. I work at a youth center for poor kids. We have 6 xboxes with halo2, but they keep stealing the disks. I want to store the game on the hard drive so they cant steal them. I have softmodded 1 with splintercell,AID2.11,& SID3. I have a little over 3gig left, but the game is a little over 4gig. Please help me get these xboxes set up. I have other broken xboxes that I will need help with later, but for now it would save us a lot of money if I could get these 6 xboxes set up.
Thanks, Scott

Wow.... stealing from poor kids........ that's horrible. Anyways.. Halo 2 is a tough game to get on the xbox retail hard disk Wink I suggest deleting as many unneccessary gamesaves as you can and installing the minimum such as no skins and trainers and uneccessary stuff. You could always format the f drive to get an extra 2 gigs if you have a seagate but i doubt that'll help with your halo issue. Just either get a new hard drive or delete as many gamesaves as you can. Here's a sweet deal i found so i had to get it.... It says 100 gigs but its actually a 120 for 40 bucks.......

Only the seagate hard drive can be formatted for an extra 2 gigs. The western digital cannot. But that's just a tidbit of information that really doesn't matter. Now here's what you need to launch..... You should launch any file manager or explorer to see if your f drive shows up or if its there. If it is, that means you can format it for the two gigs. I suggest using unleash x to format it. What you do is you use Unleash X's file manager or something else( but again i recommenD unleash x) and then highlight the f drive and press a button ( i think its the white button but im not really sure) and then a menu should come up. It should say copy, delete, and stuff like that. Scroll down to where it says format hard drive. Click on that option and in a second or two you should have an extra 2 gigs... It'll also show up so you know if it worked or not.. If i didn't.. then sorry it either failed or you have a western digital. An alternative to unleash x would be AID 2.11. Go to option format hd and format the f drive. I don't recomment this because sometimes it doesn't format properly but it works sometimes. Just give it a try. Hope this help............. GOOD LUCK Very Happy

is there a way of moving the partitions to make the other drives smaller and making one of them bigger? If I could I would have the room I need.

ftp into the bink folder and make 2 copies of intro.bik. Rename them to attract.bik and credits.bik. If you want, you can also downsample the video quality of the bink movies. a little effort, but it should do the trick.

or, if the kids only want to do multiplayer, you can delete those single player campaigns and vice versa. doing one or the other will save you a few gigs either way. If the kids are down for only single player (or co-op) delete the multiplayer maps, that will give you MORE than enough play room.

Those are all great suggestions, but I am trying to get halo 2 on my hard drive. The game is about 1 gig bigger than I have space.

If you follow either my or AngelosDracul's suggestion, Halo 2 will fit on your HDD...

Here, to make it a bit easier to get on your HDD, I'll post this guide for ya:

1. Download Qwix
2. Have it connect to your xbox and make sure you're running avalaunch when it connects. (Avalaunch can be run as a program or dash)
3. have it FTP over the D drive (yes, its your DVD rom, and it might take a while to do so) and it will create an ISO.
4. Then, using qwix or CXbox tool, open the ISO and delete either the single player maps, or multiplayer, depending on what you want...
5. when it's done, use qwix to ftp the folder back over to one or more xboxes, and you're done!
