I updated xbmc, which I set as my primary dash after installing AID. Now I updated xbmc by uploading the new files in the C:\XBMC folder, overwriting the old ones. I also copied the xml file to C:\
Is this everything I had to do? Because I now see a xbmc with no text on the buttons or anywhere...

Reinstall XBMC using AID. Then, upload everything from your new updated folder EXCEPT the .xml file. THen, delete "evoxdash.xbe" and rename "default.xbe" to "evoxdash.xbe" this doing those steps in that order should get you the newest build of XBMC and keep it running smooth. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."

What if the new xbmc has a different type of xml file?
I didn't know the evoxdash.xbe was the xbmc one in aid, I think that's the problem.

any time the Xbox boots, it's lookin for one of two things. If it's a stock xbox, it looks for "Xboxdash.xbe" or something like that. But with either the Nkpatcher or PBL (both softmod types) it looks to boot evoxdash.xbe. So you're modded. Your xbox is going to look for evoxdash.xbe. So, when you FTP XBMC over, change your folder on your PC as follows:
1. Find "Default.xbe" and rename it to "evoxdash.xbe"
2. Find the .xml that came with the package and either move it to a backup dir, or delete it all together. If anything's missing from the .xml, the .xbe will write it where it's needed and you can edit it later.
3. FTP the changed folder to your C (or E) drive, whichever the xbox is set to read at boot.
Reboot the xbox and you'll be good to go! When your FTP program asks to overwrite, do so. You're updating all the old files with brandnew ones. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."
