Posted: Sat Jan 14, 2006 2:15 am Post subject: Warriors won't work. Neither original or backup!
I've seen this mentioned before but can't find out the exact cause or if there's a solution. I have a chipped NTSC (I think!) xbox with only the original dash . Most of my original and backup games play fine including UK PAL discs but I can't get Warriors to do anything. I've tried an original UK release as well as a backup that is known to work fine in other xboxes. All I get is a dirty disc error. Also had the same problem with an official UK release of Conflict Vietnam.
If this is a known problem then could someone please point in the direction of a solution as I've been scanning websites all day and not really got anywhere!

I got this game from a bittorrent site and it came with a patch program. You will need to run this before making the iso or you will get disk dirty error. If your xbox was bought in the uk then it is likely its pal if america ntsc.

I have had the same problem. I asked for help too a while ago but no one else had seen the problem. I have a 1.0 ntsc chipped box and get the dirty disk error. I aslo have a softmod box and the same thing happend, but here is the strange part. I tried another soft mod box and it played just fine. I made sure all the settings were the same on all the boxes but still only plays in that one xbox. I used the same program with all the boxes and still stumped by this.

After downloading Autoinstaller I'm now able to play the UK retail version by putting the xbox into PAL mode but still no luck with the backup. If anyone in the know can suggest a sollution I would very much appreciate it.

Problem solved!! Someone on another forum reommended I switch from widescreen to normal in the ms dash and it seems to have worked! Back up has loaded and seems to play fine!
