But i'm going to ask anyway Is it possible to hook up a self powered USB external HDD to the XBox?? I was thinking would it see it as a storage device or not??? As I said probably a daft question.

well use this tut if ur trying to upgrade hdd I DID IT and it was soooo easy ... U DONT NEED MODCHIPS OR ANY CRAP to run hdd just get ur eeprom and ur fiine

yes you can, and yes it can be formatted to be used for nomal storage and gamesaves, i'm not too sure you can run games from there, since you can't load .xbe from non-ide storages. _________________ Xbox v1.1
