Posted: Sun Jan 01, 2006 12:21 am Post subject: SID 4.0 Help Cant see 200g hd in evox =(
Ok heres the deal. I have a softmodded xbox with a 200 wd hd. I origionally had it modded with slayers using bert and ernie. My mod got messed by someone going to xbox live. so i am now using sid 4.0. The mod installed correctly but now i cannot access my f drive in evox. It reads in settings free space on f drive only about 1 gig. and i cannot ftp to f: anf thats where all my backups are. But here is what gets me. if i dual boot with the tray open and go to the mod install screen my f: drive reads correctly there. I have searched everywhere and cannot find anyhting that will help me. anyone with a sugestion i would apreciate it Thank you!

did u make that 200gb using xboxhdm???
when u were doing that process did u say to it to install F drive????
if u did then
check if ur F and G drives are enable.. AS U NEED f and G to have ur full 200gb hdd... as i have the 200gb as well...

Yes i used xboxhdm to create my drive and i did enable f when doing it. It used to work great no problems untill i installed evox with sid . I have also tried the other dash and it does the same thing. f and g are enabled in evox. I can ftp into my f drive if i go to the sid 4 install menu but evox just cant see it.(well it only says 1.xxx.xxx available space on f. and i cannot access my games) =(.

This is very weird, indeed.
What did you do before installing SID4?
Did you just uninstalled previous softmod, then updated to SID 4?
Did you do something else with hardware that might of cause hdd damage?
If SID 4 isn't working for you, simply install back what ever SID you had, and see if everything is there.
SID 4 is patched to have both F and G aviable, and as far as i know, from all the info i've been getting from Xman9 (current developer of nkpatcher, made from rmenhal), has told me that these Issues i've been seeing lately are user errors, why else would a few get this?

I know it should work because everything is fine until evox loads on its own.
it seems to me that something is giving evox the wrong information about the hd during startup.
what could that be? im not exactly sure what the startup procedure is.
I know everything is ok if i startup with tray open but cant get to evox just the installer menu
Not ok if i start with tray close booting to evox.
could it be my bios or something?
i no longer have my old softmod
and i really like this one alot better i hope i can get it to work.
