Here is the deal, a month ago accidentally deleted evoxdash.xbe, and my xbox would just send me to error 21. I fix that by replacing the file using xbhdm and my eeprom backup.
Yesterday I tried the AID 2.1 on my xbox, I selected Install All apps, I then selected boot MS Dashboard, another thing came, and then it boot to linux. Tried it for a while, then I shuted down my xbox.
Now everytime I turn it on I get an Error #21. I have no idea what happened. I took a look at the drive with xbhdm and all the files are there, but please, I have no idea what happened.
What can I do know? I really need help here guys, I got nothing at the other forum...

If you can still boot Auto Installer, the issue most likely your default dashboard is corrupted. you might consider reinsalling the dashboard and you should be good to go. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Nothing boots, goes directly to error 21. But I have access to the drive from xbhdm, what could I do from there? I was thinking of using the UXE Installer for xbhdm and try it, but don't know if I could make a bigger mess.
Considering the fact the my xbox always seems to access the evoxdash.xbe before loading anything, I think I have a softmod already...

Ok, now I KNOW I can help on this one! Ok, first get the UXE installer for xboxhdm and put the necessary files where they're supposed to. Do the hotswap and once in the menu select "rebuild xbox hard drive from scratch"
Once that completes, reboot your pc. Once at the menu again, where you normally type "xboxhd" to go into the menu, type softmod and go through those steps. Pick the nkpatcher one. Once all of that completes you can hook up your xbox hd again and it will book to evox. If you want a different dash, like I did with xbmc, boot AID 2.11 FINAL. Go to the softmod section. Install the nkpatcher + msdash AGAIN over your original softmod (sounds stupid but it works) once that completes, in the softmod section go to install dashboards. There you can install the dash you want. Once that installs and you reboot, BAM! the dash you installed from AID is there! I have no idea why that works but it did for me! Hope that helps! _________________ XBOX v1.6c

No problem, I had a similar problem just getting the dash I wanted after doing the UXE softmod installer using xboxhdm 1.9 I figured it out and figured I might actually write up a tutorial on it, save the people the headache of trying to FTP proper files of certain dashboards. Using AID is so much easier. _________________ XBOX v1.6c

Thanks mate, trying it right now, have a question tho. How long does it take to build the partition. Since the hd is still plugged to the xbox power suply, and I think the xbox shuts down after a while with the no-hhd error.

You will have plenty of time while it does the rebuild. I wanna say it takes roughly around 4-5 minutes to complete. I've never seen it automatically shutdown after a period of time. My msn info is listed below if you have any pertinant questions regarding installation. I'm gonna write up a tutorial when I get home and upload it but the basics are listed in my post above. _________________ XBOX v1.6c

I helped him through the process via MSN Messenger and all is resolved and working correctly. When I get home I'm going to write up a quick tutorial on this so people can softmod the EASY way, haha. _________________ XBOX v1.6c
