I'm using xboxhdm and following the guide here: http://www.techfreaks.org/articles/modxbox2.shtml

I must have missed the step where I need to backup the eeprom because when I ftp to my xbox I cannot find eeprom.bin where it is says it is, /E/Backup/MS/

is there a way to backup the eeprom so I can increase my harddrive size?

sure we can help that's why we r here 4... anyways i was doing the exact same thing on my xbox and it worked out fine ... but to futher help u ... we need more info... what softmod do u have

did u back up C and please tell me u did bcak up eeprom... but ur not screw ... like i said give us more info... im sure we figure it out in a matter of secs.. a'ri lates mate!

check out my tutorials in tutorial section , i wrote those and they work Wink

eeprom backup is also in those tutorials

the file I used to softmod is SID.Splinter.Cell.v2.0.NTSC.Xbox-Hq.zip

so I assume it's SID2, when I got to the install screen I created a mod backup and an ms backup. I know it worked because both times a progess bar came up. After I made the backups I then selected softmod install and then evox install.

I've tried to make a backup using the evox dashboard but that didnt work. It says "Making Backup : )" but only for 2 seconds, so I dont think it does it.

also, my xbox is a launch xbox so I assume it's xbox 1.0

I figured it out, apparently EvoX puts the backup file in C not E, and I had to refresh the ftp window. after that I followed your guides and now I have a full functional Xbox with 120GB a space to play with Smile

if evox is installed as app then it's on E , if you have evox as dash then it's on C
