So I recently got an hdtv

I had gotten sid 2 to work in hd by restoring my msdash, setting it to enable 480 720 and 1080i and then reinstalling the softmod... this worked fine

I just installed sid 4, my msdash had those hi def settings enabled, yet when modded evox and my games all display in 480i... no progressive and no high resolution....

When I coldboot they work in hi def...

Is there a way to enable these display modes with SID 4?

yes, but it need rebuilding nkpatcher.

in other words, you must download nkpatcher 11 source, and compile your own, so you make it use high def outputs.

here's the version used in SID 4.

Now that i think of somethings, if you are using a dash advanced like UnleashX, you should be able to set your HiDef throught it, but here's the link.

EDIT: seems like the link isn't working anymore, but go in the X-S thread and hunt in the pages.

The thread is about Nkpatcher 10+, but nkp11 - 01 and -02 are there as well, please look with care.

u do have ur highdef cables right>????

doesnt sid4 have an option to enable that ??? in video settings?????

I did enable it in SID 4 settings, but it doesn't seem to matter.
