My neighbour had a guy soft mod his xbox, worked for about 2 games... then it would only boot up to flubber and freeze. I used xboxhdm with hotswap to reinstall softmod. Evox now launches and I can launch dongle free dvd and xbmc, I can play dvd movies no problem. However it will not launch dvd games, burned or bought. I'm not sure what the guy did but I know there is lots of stuff he put on it like skins and etc. Any idea how I can get this fixed, when I try to launch dvd it jumps back to evox. Should I replace the evox ini or evox.xbe ? Also when ftp'ing to it I use smart ftp but am unable to delete or rename any files from smart ftp.

does nobody have any idea on this.. any suggestions like using slayers or something? so the box is softmodded, anything I can do to reinstall evox or something while keeping the softmod? please.. anyone
