Hopefully this isnt to much of a stupid question but i can only hope. Firstly i got me xbox version 1.1 im pritty sure. Of i got a x3 chip in if with a no solder mod, havin probs with the d0 wire but will probably just solder that but thats not the prob. Got the bios flashed with x3 3294. Ok that was the reletivly easy parts.

Firstly ive burn both auto installers deluxe and slayer on both cd's and dvd but dont work. Am i meant to get an error message if they dont work cause it just goes to the x3 options??? Not sure why it wouldnt work cause using Ritek 05 dvd's and a pioneer burner.

Secondly my normal M$ dash dont work when I turn my box on without chip is that meant to happen?? But it will boot games normally but i am sure the dashboard worked at one point. Am just gettin a customer service screen with the number 13 in the right corner.

Sorry if i am repeating any prev questions but couldnt find anything that got close to my questions in the seach. Too many results with "installer wont boot".

When you burned AID to disc, did you burn the iso at the slowest speed?
The customer service screen you're getting probably means that the xbox was modded or an attempt to mod was done and the Hard drive is unocked. Try burning the AID iso again using either Nero or dvd decrypter at the slowest speed. Also if you have a 1.1 xbox you might have to try different brands of disc because you might have a thomson drive which can be picky at times.

Well i flashed the bios with my cdr so dont understand why the booter wont work from the same media.

Yep i used the slowest speed and gettin aid iso tool to make a bigger dummy file on aid, so will see how that will go.

Do i just use the bios just to unlock the hd??

Hmm, if you used the same brand for the Bios it should work for AID. To lock the HDD again you need to do it from the chip's dashboard. There should be something there for the Hard drive to lock it back up.

Im guessin and only guessin but the M$ dash prob is due to not patchin the dash as of yet, this is due to the fact that i cant get aid or slayer to work. So am now creating the dummy file and gonna try it a burn with that.

U never know it might work Confused

btw a dummy file of 1500mb takes 34 seconds to build for anyone that wanted to know lol Rolling Eyes

May i advise anyone that is making a dvd version of aid to make sure they have a big dummy file there. Using the same media and the only difference is the dummy file it works. So i guess it is a necessity and i think people should know that. I got some good coasters out of it anyway. Only wasted like 5 discs (2 dvds and 3 cd's for people that want to know). Shocked

So i should now be able to unlock my M$ dash and it should now be all good. Updated my M$ dash. Got error message 05 and then found out my hd locking was disabled in my options, fixed that and now everything works. All i need to do now is solder my d0 wire on my solderless adapter.

Ironic isnt it that a solderless adapter will only work properly when u solder the d0 wire otherwise it will just keep on fallin out. Kind of defeats the purpose of having an almost solderless adapter doesnt it. MEH Cool

Thanks enigma516 for helpin. Wink
