Posted: Sun Dec 25, 2005 6:48 am Post subject: Getting error file doesn't fit when I launch orig+1 bios
I'm fairly new to xmoding. have the 1.6 xbox w/ xenium S.P.Ice chip running 2.0.1. Team Xodus forums iceguide was very informative but mentioned nothing about troubleshooting. the only variation between what they said and what i see in my system is that the .xbe file (bios file?) is 3k instead of 1?!? which leads me to believe i have the wrong file. And is loaded on the e drive instead of c. I still haven't figured out how to go from one drive to another and my file sharing program automatically puts stuff in e (using smartftp). Anyway i just want to add a new bios or run a desktop from xenium 2.0.1! I don't care which as long as it works. Also before you ask i don't have a dvd-r or dvd-rw drive on puter. spent money on mod chip instead. Help PLEASE!

You need to read the Iceguide again. A bios file will be in .bin format not .xbe. The Xenium Ice support 256k, 512k, 1mg, or any combination up to 1mg. You need to put the bios file on the harddrive, dvd/cd, or a usb pen drive and use the flash option in the launch menu, or put the ip of you xbox in Internet Explorer and flash from your computer using the embedded web server.
