Hello guys, I'm new here.
This is my story. My Evox is TSOP Flashed (know that becaue XBMC says ModChip is Winbond w49f020t and from what I've read that is a TSOP Flash).
I accidentally moved evoxdash.xbe from the xbox to my PC, and now I can't boot my xbox. I can't boot backup games and I've tried a Evox Installer and the AID 2.11 with no luck. (Maybe it is the media I've been using; a cdrw).
I just have one retail game, TopSpin/Ncaa Football 2005 that came with the xbox, but this game never booted directly or I'd get Error 21, I had to use boXplorer to access the .xbe of the game I wanted to play. So maybe thats why that retail game doesn't work.
I'm really desperate now, I think my last option now is to hotswap the drive. I was thinking if I could hotswap it, and then from my PC copy the evoxdash.xbe to the xbox hdd (since I have no ftp access to it at all).
What do you guys think? Is my cause lost, is my xbox fubared for life? Should I try hotswapping now? If so, I'll need some tutorials and some tips, since I'll have to do it today,
Thanks...
EDIT: guys, I have a backup of the following files in a dvd I made some months ago:
If you're getting an error 13 then you just need to make a boot disk of your current dash, burn to a dvd-r and then copy it to your c:\
for a dash to run from the disk you must re name the
evoxdash.xbe to default.xbe AND you must re name it back to evoxdash.xbe before you reboot the xbox after you've copy'd it to c:\
I tried loading different dashboards (with default.xbe) and several games with no luck. I also tried auto installers.
Well, I took hands on the problem and used xboxhdm to unlock the hd and then move the file back, then lock and voíla! Although now I have some serious doubts about my TSOP flash (I bought it and it was already tsop'ed)
Problem solved now, thanks to a tutorial I saw here and to some tools.
You guys rock!
I'm gonna play Most Wanted now...

i'm sorry to say, but if your TSOP was flashed, you should of been able to boot any backup, and installer discs like AID.
Check again, mb it's not TSOPed.
