hi,.
i hate to ask so many seemly stupid questions all the time, but i just can't figure out what wrong with my softmod xbox, the only easy part is install the bigger HD.
now i got the 200 gb seagate in box, and have the full capacity of f+g to put more games and apps there, but what surprise me is some games can't be launched (DOA U freeze just after loading), AMEP freeze after the screen allow me push start to game, it is wired...............
i doubt if the ftp transfer make the files broken occasionly, i have tried coffee direct ftp, cuteftp, unleashX ftp(contain in file manager).............all the same problem........i have ftp from one of softmod xbox, and all game running just prefect in that console, but after ftp to mine, it freeze occasionly,............
anyone have ideas about that?
i almost lost the confidence and stimulius to go on, .........
hope someone come to help me thru of that........

and at the bigining, i think backup the normal xbox's files to my pc by ftp, then ftp the files to my xbox, after the trouble, i change the method, transfer files from one xbox to another directly(only have to via a route, not with crossover cable)........but in vain.

Try deleting the contents of the e:\cache folder. It might be as simple as that. _________________

I remember several games used to have problems with in game reset, try disabling it in the dashboards.

the bios you are using can be causing this ,
update to latest M8 , X2, or X3 bios _________________ Xbox v1.0/1.1/1.5/1.6a

He is using a softmod, can you upgrade a softmod bios if it is not using PBL?

i dont know much about softmods ,
but im pretty sure you can change the bios it boots ,
it needs to be "bootable from media" bios for softmods , _________________ Xbox v1.0/1.1/1.5/1.6a
