I have a xbox v1.0 modded with an xecuter3 chip.I just got a brand new xbox that i softmodded using sid3 with splinter cell,worked great.
I have a 160gig hdd thati want to put in the softmodded xbox.Iput the 160gig hdd in my chipped xbox and updated the eeprom using cofigmagic with the eeprom from the softmodded xbox,seemed to work fine.
Problem is when i when i put the other hdd back into the chipped xbox it wont boot and i get an error screen.It wont boot with the chip on or off.
The only way to get it to boot up is to put the 160gig hdd that im using for the softmodded xbox back in and boot with the modchip off. Then it boots up fine.
I used configmagic to get my original eeprom back on my chipped xbox using the 160gig hdd. Now my chipped xbox works fine again but now i dont have the right eeprom on the 160gig hdd to use in the softmodded xbox.
Cant figure out why my chipped xbox wouldnt boot after updating the eeprom.
If anyone could help id really appreciate it.

I'm having alittle trouble picturing this but it sound like you have the hdd locked to the other box. That's why it is not booting with eventhough it's chipped. Are you working with three hdd's or do you have only 2?
How are you getting the eeprom to your chipped box?
The process should go:
Backup eeprom of the softmodded box. (if you haven't already)
FTP the eeprom.bin to the chipped box.
Backup eeprom of the chipped box and make sure the hdd is unlocked. (if you haven't already)
Load the eeprom.bin of the softmodded box to the modchip.
With 160g hdd in the chipped box (unlocked), use AID to install the softmod, dash and apps.
Lock hdd and plug it in the softmodded box.
Put back the hdd of the chipped box into...the chipped box.
Load the original eeprom back on the the modchip and lock the hdd. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

first im only using 2 hdds,the 1 in my chipped box and the 160gig that i want to put in the softmodded box.
i put the 160gig in my chipped box formatted it and put configmagic on it along with the c and e drives from the softmodded box.
i used the backup eeprom from the softmodded box with confimagic to update the eeprom in the chipped box them locked the hdd.
problem was when i put the other hdd back in it wont boot up,cant even get to my xecuter 3 bios screen.
Also i didnt do anything to the hhd that was in the chipped box.Do i need to load the eeprom from the softmodded box on that hhd and unlock it before i put
the 160gig in for the softmodded box?

the hdd from the chipped box should've been unlocked before you pulled it out.
Put the 160g back in and unlock it.
Load the original eeprom of the chipped box onto the chip.
Put back the original hdd and unlock that one.
Hook up the 160g hdd and load the softmod eeprom and lock it.
-Now that one is ready for the softmodded box.
Put the orginal hdd back in the chipped box, load the original eeprom and lock that hdd.

So if i would have unlocked my original hdd before i took it out ,i wouldnt of had any problems?
Also are you saying i should load my eeprom onto my modchip?Im using configmagic,i dont know where exactly its loading it to.
